The Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts announced organizing a series of arts seminars, after announcing the Fourth Round of the 2023 Arts Awards in the branches (painting – photography – sculpture – architecture – art critique ), on the fringe lines of the group exhibition for youth, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. The seminars are held at Hanager Arts Center in Cairo Opera House.
First: A Seminar about the Painting Award entitled “What Is Painting?”
On Thursday, 9 March 2023, at 5 pm, in the presence of the following members of the Painting Award judging committee:
- Dr. Aleya Abdel Hadi; Former Dean of the College of Architecture and Arts – the University of Petra – Amman, Jordan and Former Vice Dean of the College of Fine Arts for Postgraduate Studies and Research
- Dr. Hussein El Shaboury; Fine artist and Expert in Design and Museum Presentation
- Mr. Mohamed Abla; Fine Artist
- Dr. Samir Fouad; Fine Artist

Second: A Seminar about the Photography Award entitled “The Secrets of the Art of Photography”

Third: A Seminar about the Sculpture Award entitled “The Art of Sculpture between Identity and Renewal”

- Dr. Souhair Zaki Hawass; Professor of Architecture and Urban Design, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University
- Dr. Hisham El-Saudi; Head of Engineers Syndicate in Alexandria, and former Dean of Faculty Fine Arts, Alexandria University
- Eng. Mohamed Abo Seeda; Architect and Head of the National Authority for Urban Harmony

Fifth: A Seminar about the Art Critique Award entitled “The Role of Youth in Enriching the Art Critique Movement in Egypt”

- Dr. Said Tawfik; Professor of Aesthetics and Contemporary Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University; and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, and former Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture.

The Arts Awards ceremony and the opening of the Fourth Group Exhibition for youth are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, next Tuesday, 7 March 2023, at 6:30 pm, at the Gezira Art Center in Zamalek.
